#9

For post-a-day #9 I'm going to tell you more about my siblings. We'll do oldest to youngest.

Julienne: Her nick name is Jules. She stopped introducing herself as "Julienne" because people go through three different names before they actually get hers right. "Julia?" No, Julienne. "Julianne?" No, JuliENNE. "Oh it's nice to meet you Julie."
She likes to cook. She's actually a very good cook. If you put a recipe in front of her it always turns out. There's only been a couple times she's messed up. She has curly hair, and I mean CURLY hair. She's eleven years old and is in 6/7th grade. (More 7th then 6th.) Her birthday is in November. Her favorite color is green.

Jacob: We call him Jake. But, I call him Jakie a lot. He takes everything you say literally. And if you don't tell him exactly what you mean he is at loss of your meaning. He is a total boy. Oh, yeah and he's 9 and a 1/2 his birthday is in November too!! Jake and I are very much alike. He's like the girl version of me. He's very stubborn (like me), very fun to be around with. He can be funny too.

Jonah: He's 5. He says a TON of funny things. Whenever he says something that makes us all crack up we all say, "another quote from Jonah the wise". I also call him my theological thinker because he comes up with the most amazing questions about God, and our faith I mean the kid's only 5! I have an adopted older brother (meaning a friend..who I adopted as my older brother) and he nick named Jonah Crazy Tom. Jonah loves to be called that. Jonah wants to be a pastor. He loves to talk about God and can keep you thinking and talking about Him all day and night if he could.

Jamesyn: She's 3. Her nick name is Jami. She's a show off. She has bright red hair, green eyes, and creamy white skin. Quite the beauty. She's a total girly-girl. She loves the movie Ariel, and Matilda. She likes to recite lines from movies. She has Ephesians 6:1 memorized. She has the highest pitched squeal ever. She's a mama's girl. Oh and her birthday is in January.

Jessica: She's 1 & 1/2, her birthday is in January too. Actually, my Mom's due-date is Jessi's birthday. (January 12th) Jessi loves to dance. You put some music on and her foot starts tapping and her hips start swinging and her arms flailing about crazily. She laughs a lot. She loves tickles. She loves kisses. Her rightful throne is on my lap. She's starting to talk a lot now. She has this little blanket with a bear head and we call it her "buddy" and she loves that thing to death. We have 2 of them just in case she looses one. She strokes buddy, kisses buddy, one time I caught her SPANKING buddy!! Hahah!! Jess has a long attention span. She will sit and "read" books for15-20 mins. She thinks every animal is a "dorwie" (doggie). She loves coloring. She colors until her paper is filled with colors. She and I can communicate very well. I understand what she's trying to say, and she in return smiles or gives me kisses. We have conversations you know. When Josiah Calvin comes into the world, he'll eventually move in with Jami, and Jessi will move in with me :D

Josiah: I don't know much about Josiah yet. I haven't had the pleasure of feeling him kick either :( but when I do I'll announce it!! We're all looking forward to Josiah's arrival.

Dad: My Dad is 8 months younger than my Mom. My Dad loves to write which is why he keeps a blog. Currently he hasn't had the free time to post much. He loves his family and will do anything it takes to provide for us. My Dad and I are very a like in personalities. He loves to read too. He went to seminary in California. I can't remember how long he was there for. But, he's proud of all that he learned there. (We wouldn't be reformed if he hadn't gone to seminary.) My Dad absolutely LOVES R. C. Sproul. He loves children. (Well there are seven of us :-P) When one of us is having a bad day, or seems to be getting in trouble a lot, my Dad knows just how to deal with each of us. For example, I need a lot of patience because it really only makes me more mad if someone is being impatient with me. Dad's birthday is in September. My Dad loves to talk. We are usually the last to leave church. My Dad is our grammatical teacher. He's an artist. He can draw really good. But, he hasn't done so for years. Occasionally he'll draw a "doodle" here and there (more like a professional doodle..haha) but he doesn't just sit and draw. :(

Mom: Her birthday is in February. She doesn't like to write-for pleasure. But, she does one heck of a good job at it. She likes to read. She's a Jane Austen fan. She introduced me to Jane Austen. Her favorite book is Jane Eyre. My Mom is very outgoing. Both, my parents are. My Mom is frightened of heights. She's the BEST COOK IN THE WORLD! Who gives a rip about baking, you can't live off of sweets. But, this woman can COOK. She can pull make a recipe of her own in a nutshell. She loves cooking for people. She likes to see the satisfactory faces. She loves coffee. She likes her smoothies thin. (Weirdo) She gets horrible morning sickness for the first trimester in her pregnancies. My Mom loves my Dad a lot. They have a good relationship with each other. (Which is good.) My parents have almost been married for 15 years now!! On September 23rd.

Me: You must know some about me, being the author of this blog. I like to read. I like to write. I drink more water then milk. (People are freaks about milk. Milk is awesome..but water keeps you hydrated. ) I was in public school up til fourth grade when they pulled me out we began homeschooling. I'm a Sophomore. I want to learn Latin, Spanish, and Tagalog. I'm 1/4 Filipino. It was my Mom and Dad always asking me when I came home from school, "What did you do in school today?" that made me the extrovert that I am. I feel more comfortable around adults then around my piers. Around my piers, there's always the "awkwardness". Around adults, it's like talking to my Mom and Dad. I love to learn from adults. I want to hear what they have to say, for they have more wisdom then I.

That's it :D

Sorry been busy. Keep my family in your prayers ok?

Cheers,

Lissie
