Dear readers,
It's incredibly hard when you know non-believers that will be going to hell. My dentist, I think he's Mormon. He's so nice. He has a wife and kids. He's rather young too. It's sad. I've been thinking about all the people that work in the dentist office of mine, they're all Mormon (or most of them) and it's just cuts deep.
Family members. Maybe you have some family memebrs that don't believe in Christ. Pray for them. I have at least one Grandpa that's dead that denied Christ in the way he lived, and in words. I have a Kuya (not really my older brother, but an adopted one.) who I don't know if he was truly saved or not because he grew up in a Catholic background.
I recently met some blogging atheists friends and it kills to know that they'll be casted into the firey pits of hell. It is not within my power to save. It IS in my power, however to TELL others about THE WAY TO SALVATION. It is within your power to do the same. Go out and spread the good news! Who knows? God might use your words that come from your stuttering lips to save that soul!
People's hearts are really hard. I was listening to Wretched yesterday and as you know it was Witness Wednesday. There was a girl Todd talked to for a long time. Her name is Sarah. She is so bitter and angry towards God. She's a very strong atheist. You know that the person is serious about their atheism when they say, "I don't hate God. To hate Him you have to believe that He exists in the first palce,". She was one of those. But out of the overflow of the heart, so speaks the mouth, right? (Matthew 12:34)
Pray for the non-believing. Pray..and pass out tracts. And witness one-on-one. (Thought I'd add those............::DDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD)
Cheerio,

Perhaps you are the one who should reconsider. Do you think eternal torment is justifiable for someone who merely holds a mistaken opinion?
ReplyDeleteHell (if you are referring to that as "Eternal torment) is justifiable by this Mr. Westley: God created you. You ought to glorify Him in this earth. Why? Because He made you in the first place, and because you were placed on this earth to glorify and enjoy Him forever. WHETHER or not you CHOOSE to do that is IRRELEVANT. You will either give God the glory owed to Him in this life on earth NOW. Here. In present time. OR, you will give it to Him in hell. How, you ask? You broke God's commandments, you dishonored Him, and you refused to give Him the glory and honor owed to Him on earth. He is a just, judge. He will cast you into the fiery pits of hell and there you will give Him the glory that you failed to give Him here on earth, by displaying His justice.
ReplyDeleteI am not the one to reconsider. Whether you think spending an eternity in hell is "justifiable" or not, is irrelevant. You see, God is holy. He is just, and merciful, and faithful. If stole from you, you would want justice to be done. Assuming you'd take me to court, the judge wouldn't be considered "just" or "merciful" by letting the accused go free of punishment. NO. A just and merciful judge will take the punishment FOR you. You see justice must be done. Someone has to pay the punishment. And that's what Jesus, God's son did for you. He died and took the punishment FOR you, so that you can live eternally with HIM. All you have to do is put your faith in Jesus, that what He did for you on the cross is ENOUGH. And REPENT of your sins, and follow Him. Do as He commands you to do in the Bible. Live as He tells you to live.
When I said God is faithful. I meant it. You see we have sinned, and sinned and sinned. Over, and over and over. Have you ever lied? Have you ever stolen (irrelevant to the value or size), have you ever committed adultery? Have you ever looked at a woman with lust? Have you ever taken God's name in vein and used it as a cuss word, or a swear word? Have you ever murdered? No? Ever been really angry you've hated that person in your heart?
Jesus says: If you look at a woman with lust you've committed adultery with her in your heart. So you're just as good as an adulteress. He also says if you curse your brother in your heart, you've murdered him in your heart.
If the answer to the above questions were yes: or just some of them. You have broken many of God's commandments. And when you stand before Him on judgment day, you'll be guilty before Him.
He is faithful because though we have broken His commandments over, and over again, He still was merciful and loving and just, to send His Son Jesus Christ to die for us.
You only have one life. What is it if you gain the whole world and lose your soul Mr. Westley? And if Christianity isn't true? What then? For, you live, and die..and that's it..if it isn't true.
I'll be praying for you Mr. Westley.

I made an error in my writing. I meant to say: A just judge would give you the punishment that you deserve. However God was merciful judge, and paid the punishment for you. By sending His 1 and only Son to die for you.
ReplyDeleteSorry. My bad. It was almost 12 in the morning though when I typed that out so you'll have to excuse me.
