#19 Dentist

Ok we went to the dentist. Mind you I like to hold what I'm feeling inside. I wasn't nervous until I got there. Once I was seated in the dentist chair I started shaking. They numbed up the top left side of my gums with orogelle and gave me the shot. They waited to long because my numbness started going away so I could feel the whole shot but I sat very still..didn't want it to hurt worse hahaha. But, I only felt it ot a mild degree so it wasn't so bad.

Then they began doing whatever it is they had to do. Get the cavity out, and fill it. I had this big ol' bite thing in my mouth to keep my jaw "relaxed" and open. (Actually it did help some. Mind you my jaw's gonna be sore later on though....:( ) My dentist is really nice. I'm so sad they're Mormons!! I got to pray for them. Hand out some tracts next time :D Anyways, the top dentist (Dr. Jarum (not sure how you spell his name) was working on me. He's really, really nice. And his assistant was ok but she was rather rough. Come on!! It's my mouth..gotta be a bit more gentle. Yeah, she didn't try to be gentle at all. I was kind of...wondering what her deal was. That and she treated me like a child. "Bite bite bite, now tap tap tap, now grind side to side sweetie". I was like..."Ok..MOMMY". Anyways yeah. Dr. Jarum, on the other hand did not treat me like a "sweetie" thank goodness.

I kind of freak out about medicine and stuff. I don't like to take medicine unless I have to. So having my gums numbed and stuff I was kind of panicking. Like ahh they're giving me medicine. What if it makes me say funny stuff. (Course I was nervous when all of this was going in my head so I wasn't really thinking logically. Like uh duh Jor you can't talk with four hands in your mouth, a bite thingy, a cotton ball thingy, a thing so you don't bit your cheek thingy,....and all the tools. Ha!)

In the end, Jules, Jacob, and I were there for an hour and a half they got all of us done. Now Jules and I have to come back this Wednesday for the other side of cavities!! AHHHHH! Plus they have to put the sealing stuff on it. AHHH!! I want to be done!! At least next time I know what to expect.

Still can't feel my left side of my mouth. It's not as numb any more. But, if I run my finger on the outside of my cheek, can't feel it. It's actually rather cool. Except my left side feels all fat, and makes me think my mouth is all crooked. Hahaha.

Cheers,

Lissie
